Easy Slow-Cooker Italian Flavored Pot Roast Recipe

RancherMan’s quite the accomplished hunter. As such, we always have a freezer stocked full of pork roasts and I enjoy finding different ways to cook them. I often use my slow cooker to prepare those roasts. Most of the time I’ll flavor it very generically so I can remake the leftover cooked meat into whatever we’re in the mood for. I’ve made Carnitas Tacos, or Pulled-Pork Enchiladas, or even BBQ Sandwiches & more.

But today I’m in the mood for an Italian-style roast with diced tomatoes, chunky onions,  crushed garlic & minced fresh herbs.

Slow-Cooker Spicy Sticky Chicken

by Texas Homesteader ~

I’m not gonna lie, I love the convenience of a slow cooker. I have two different sizes of slow cookers and they’re busy cooking something all of the time here. Sometimes both slow cookers at the same time!

I’ll admit I’m Tammy & I’m a slow-cooker addict.  (“Hi, Tammy…”)

But what’s not to love? I mean, you combine ingredients the night before or even in the morning, set the crock in its base, turn it on and supper cooks while you’re not even there. Now that’s the kind of laziness convenience that speaks to me!

One of my favorite main dishes to cook in my slow cooker is a spicy sticky chicken. I have no idea where the name comes from, but stay with me now – you’re gonna LOVE THIS!

Whole chicken perfectly seasoned and cooked to spicy perfection in a slow-cooker while you're away. Home-Cooked Goodness In A SNAP! #TexasHomesteader

MYO Slow Cooker Ranch-Style Beans – Zesty!

by Texas Homesteader ~

I’m making my own inexpensive RANCH-STYLE BEANS these days. The recipe is easy using items I typically have in my pantry. I prefer to cook a large 2-lb bag of dried beans at a time & it makes a LOT! Feel free to scale it down to cook a smaller bag of beans.

Wild Game Recipe: Slow Cooker Pork Roast w/Red Wine

by Texas Homesteader~

Being the wife of a talented hunter husband, I’m often cooking wild game here on the homestead. I like to make pulled pork BBQ and I often do. And sometimes I’m using the Cook-Once, Eat Twice method of cooking so I’ll cook my pork roasts with more mainstream seasonings so I can use the leftovers in dishes such as Carnitas Tacos, Pulled-Pork Enchildas and more. But sometimes I like to make pork roast for a more formal meal.

When my talented hunter-husband 'brings home the bacon', I pull out the slow cooker and make a delicious pork roast with red wine broth. #TexasHomesteader
