Easy Boneless Breaded Pork Chops Cooked Using The Power Of The SUN!

by Texas Homesteader ~

Well it looks like a sunshiny day and the wind will not be high. So I can’t think of a better reason to use my * Solar Oven. I want to bake boneless, breaded pork chops – OUTSIDE!

It doesn’t matter if it’s going to be hot or cold outside. That’s because the outside temps don’t really affect the cooking with a solar oven. I’ve heard it said that ‘all you need is a shadow‘.

Summer or winter – as long as the sun is shining and the wind isn’t high enough to mess with the reflectors, solar oven cooking is a GO!

Today I think I’ll try my hand at baked pork chops…

It's hot & humid outside, but I'm not adding it inside our home. How am I going to cook tonight's supper? You won't believe it! #TexasHomesteader

French-Bread Pizza!

by Texas Homesteader

RancherMan loves bread in all forms and we always have plenty of bread in the house.  But sometimes it’s hard to plan the purchases where the bread will be completely consumed while it’s at its freshest.  Sometimes even with careful planning the bread will get hard & stale.

There are many things I like to do with the bread to make sure it’s all put to good use, but RancherMan’s absolute F-A-V-O-R-I-T-E thing for me to do with it is make French-Bread Pizza.  It’s quick, it’s delicious, and it utilizes bread that would have otherwise been wasted.  What’s not to love??

To keep food waste down I often use stale french bread to make some amazing french-bread pizzas. No need to mix up pizza dough. Pizza Nite is Quick & Easy! #TexasHomesteader

Easiest Way To Make BBQ Pork Sandwiches In A Solar Oven: A Delicious Eco-Friendly Meal

by Texas Homesteader ~

While traditional BBQ sandwiches often use pulled pork or beef brisket, I also like to make them using ground meat. They’re so much easier to eat that way. Here’s how I make them using just the power of the sun: My solar oven.

I use my solar oven often especially when it's hot outside. It keeps cooking heat outside where it belongs! Today I'm cooking BBQ pork. #TexasHomesteader
