I have a simple Southwest Chicken recipe that I cook outside using just the power of the sun!

One of the included vessels when I bought my solar oven is a double-stack black enamelware covered pan. That will be perfect for today’s dish: Southwest Chicken served on a bed of seasoned brown rice.

Quick & easy, mix it & forget it. The whole meal cooks at the same time!

Here in NE Texas I want to keep cooking heat & humidity outside. So I cooked my SW Chicken with seasoned brown rice in my solar oven! #TexasHomesteader

Fluffy, Delicious, Jalapeno/Cheese Yeast Bread Recipe

by Texas Homesteader ~

When we travel to west Texas to visit my aunt, she always picks up a couple of loaves of our favorite jalapeno-cheese bread from a nearby deli for us to enjoy while we were there.

I wondered if I could make a loaf of that spicy, cheesy bread at home. So I decided that the next time I was baking RancherMan his favorite sandwich bread I’d make one loaf into a jalapeno-cheese bread.

I figured it would as simple as rolling out the dough, sprinkling chopped jalapenos and some grated jalapeno muenster cheese given to us by a very sweet friend before rolling the dough into a loaf before baking.

But did it work?

I Use My Standard Fluffy, Delicious, Sandwich Bread Recipe To Make A Spicy Jalapeno-Cheese Bread Version. DELICIOUS and so easy! #TexasHomesteader
