After finding a great deal on apples I dehydrated them into soft chewy chunks. I’ll add them to my homemade granola. Good for me, good for my wallet & good for the environment!

Now y’all know that I love me some blueberry… ANYTHING. I’ve planted blueberry bushes to keep myself in steady supply of those delicious & oh-so-nutritious orbs. But until those plants grow large enough to satisfy me I’m stuck using purchased frozen berries.
Recently I realized that I had two bags of blueberries in the freezer. So I decided to make blueberry jam with some of them.
I searched around online & decided on this recipe I found at Food.com since it didn’t contain any added pectin. Of course as is the norm for me, I amended the recipe to suit our tastes.

After the turkey has been roasted and enjoyed, there’s still lots of food waiting to be enjoyed just by using the bones. I’ll make cheap, delicious and healthy broth with them. A money saver for sure.

I’ve made our mayonnaise from scratch for years. An egg, some oil, lemon juice and salt is all it takes.
But RancherMan also sometimes asks me to flavor it with garlic for even more flavor. There’s so much flexibility when you’re making it yourself.

And it’s so easy that you only mix it up, boil for 7 minutes and BOOM! Homemade pancake syrup. Wanna know how??

I try to eat or preserve every single vegetable that comes from our garden. I love to over plant tomatoes so we have plenty for eating fresh & also for preserving for later. But when you’ve eaten all you can fresh what do you do?
I’m not sure about you but around our house we make BLENDER SALSA!
Although RancherMan doesn’t care to eat many tomatoes sliced raw (I know, I don’t understand it either) we both love salsa – the spicier the better. Y’all are NOT gonna believe how easy this is.
