For fellow Christians who really want to keep Christ in Christmas, there’s no need to demand that companies say ‘Merry Christmas’ instead of ‘Happy Holidays‘ or fight the masses about the design on a disposable cup. It’s actually much easier than you’d think.
Let’s all strive for a kinder, gentler holiday season this year.
Today’s a special day for me, since April 12th, 2013 was the day I Kicked Cancer To The Curb! Praise God, today I’m still cancer free!
My prayer today is for strength & healing for those still struggling with this awful disease, and to remember those gone way too soon because of it.

It seems our world is filled with turmoil. Everywhere I look I see dividing lines of “us” versus “them”, with so much anger hurled towards each other that it hurts my heart. Sometimes people have so much passion for their point of view that it almost becomes a shouting match to see which side of the line can shout louder to win the game.
Win the game?
I’m not sure there’s much to be won that way. It seems we all lose when there’s hate, no matter what side of the line you’re on.
But recently I was reminded that it’s not all pushing & shoving in our little corner of the world. So I figured amid the ugly stories we’ve all been pounded with, I’d share with you something beautiful. A story that demonstrates the power of LOVE!
We’re not all identically the same and we don’t all think exactly the same either. Remember: Many Flowers Makes For A Beautiful Bouquet!
There’s always going to be differing values and opinions in this wonderful life we live. Let’s show kindness & tolerance for others whose opinions may not exactly mirror our own.
It’s way too easy to look at that person asking for food assistance and judge whether or not they actually DESERVEit. You may wonder if they’re just lazy, if they’re trying to cheat the system, or if they don’t want to work to provide for themselves.
But please Don’t Judge! There are way too many things you don’t know…
We all have values we hold dear. Our life experiences oftentimes shape us gently into the complex yet incredibly beautiful people we become. My values won’t necessarily be the same as yours. And that’s OK!
We all had to start the road to simplicity at the very beginning. So even if you’re a veteran eco-warrior, don’t belittle someone else’s humble beginnings. Let’s support each other in our path to living simply! Remember we’re all in different places in our lives.
