I grow & harvest lots of garlic every year. So much so that there’s no way I can use it all fresh before it goes bad. So to preserve some of the garlic further I also like to keep a jar filled with peeled garlic cloves in my freezer.

June Garden Update: Found The Culprit To Garden Failure!

Well guys, my garden was put behind schedule this year. I thought it was due to a colder/wetter than normal spring. There was plenty of water, but no warmth or sunshine! 

But now that it’s starting to dry out a bit & warm up too, things are finally starting to grow.  Still the garden’s lagging behind is a mystery. But I think I may have finally figured it out. Come see my June garden update. I think I've solved the problem of why my garden failed! #TexasHomesteader

A Day On The Homestead: Continued Stay-Home Edition

Texas is starting to loosen its shelter-in-place recommendations. But RancherMan & I are not comfortable mingling among the masses just yet. Not even using proper social distancing procedures. So we’re still tucked in at our Homestead.

Luckily since we live & work right here, that’s not too far from our typical day anyway. Come see what a day at the Homestead looks like even during these shelter-in-place times.
