I’ve found an easier way to measure ingredients for recipes I use often. I weigh them instead of using measuring cups.
It’s faster than digging out measuring cups and there’s less cleanup too. Just place your bowl on the scale, tare the weight to zero and add ingredients. Brilliant!

I often replace some of (or sometimes ALL of) the whole-wheat flour in my bread recipes with oat flour. But I don’t BUY oat flour, I make it myself.
Oat flour contains the healthy properties of whole oats. And by making it myself it’s cheap too. Don’t worry, it’s not hard nor does it require high-dollar equipment. I use bulk oats and a coffee grinder, y’all.
You’re not gonna believe how easy this is.

The Western Soapberry Tree (or Sapindus saponaria ssp. drummondii) is native in North America. I make my own all natural zero-waste shampoo with the berries I harvest. It’s all I’ve used for nearly 10 years now.
