Oh how I loathe scorpions! We have them in the house quite often during the summer unfortunately. I’ve been stung twice.

I’ve never been stung by a scorpion Kathi, and I’d think that would be one of my worst nightmares… ~TxH~

A mouse in the house is bad enough for me, but a scorpion; No Thank U. It’s just as bad.
When we lived in Iowa we had a mouse in the house I had gone from the kitchen, through the dining room and into the living room and never touched the floor. I went from room to room stepping on chairs till I reached the sofa. Even tho I grew up on a farm, I am Absolutely terrified of mice. Thank goodness I have never seen a scorpion outside or inside.

I’d never seen a real scorpion until we moved here, not many scorpions typically found in the city spaces where I grew up. The first time I found one in this house I was horrified. We’ve since found about 1-2 each year and each time I’m horrified – these are the things horror movies are MADE OF, right??! But our free-range chickens keep our numbers lower than those of our neighbors so there’s a double reason to love free-range chickens! ~TxH~

I KNOW!! It’s not unusual for a spider or even a hornet to make their way inside the house from time to time. But THIS? Um. NO. ~TxH~

I’m not typically squeamish about spiders or snakes. Critters that others are typically shy of, I can often see beauty in. But a scorpion? IN THE HOUSE?? Oh no… ~TxH~
