Now that we have our own chickens, eggs are certainly not in short supply. And we also always have bread in the house since you can buy a day-old loaf of french bread very inexpensively and use it for many recipes.
Today I’m making french toast… with a twist! I decided to try to make french toast stuffed with cream cheese & blueberries.
RancherMan loves bread in all forms and we always have plenty of bread in the house. But sometimes it’s hard to plan the purchases where the bread will be completely consumed while it’s at its freshest. Sometimes even with careful planning the bread will get hard & stale.
There are many things I like to do with the bread to make sure it’s all put to good use, but RancherMan’s absolute F-A-V-O-R-I-T-E thing for me to do with it is make French-Bread Pizza. It’s quick, it’s delicious, and it utilizes bread that would have otherwise been wasted. What’s not to love??
Wild hogsare well-known in these parts for the extreme damage caused on on farmers or ranchers property.
These animals are highly destructive as they root and dig. They can completely tear up a pasture in no time flat. And they not only damage to the pasture or crops, but also to the equipment used to work that land whether it be crop harvester or tractor.
The good news is – it’s just PORK and it’s delicious! Feral hogs are simply domesticated hogs that have escaped into the wild.
Having a hunter husband means there’s opportunity to not only remove these damaging creatures from our property but feed ourselves as well.
One of my favorite ways to use this pork is with shredded pork BBQ sandwiches.
