RancherMan & I painted one of our 16-foot long gates in a Texas Flag pattern to show our Texas pride. I think the gate looks awesome.
Many were interested in how we did it – paint color choices, metal star size, etc. So today I’m happy to share how we did it.

I wanted to make a work of art from an array of arrowheads. I decided to mount them in part of an old shadowbox I’d repurposed.
Using a denim background and some hot glue, I made a heartfelt, sentimental gift for my father. How was it sentimental? Read on, dear friends…

I made a cross collage using arrowheads. It was placed in a shadowbox frame that was previously just an old (and ugly) repurposed key box. The wood frame was painted white and lightly sanded to distress the finish just a touch. I love the way it turned out!

You say you’ve decided to pull out that can of paint you’ve had in the shed and go ahead & repaint the bathroom? Good for you!
If you’re like me, painting always (aaaaaalways) involves paint being splattered on my clothes. No matter how careful I am!
I used to dig in my closet for the oldest shirt I could find and just realize it would be relinquished to the trash after I was through painting.
But one time I was painting our bee boxes and hated to ruin a shirt – even an old one – just because I needed to paint.
So I got to thinking…
