Cream-Of-Chicken Soup

No need to run to the store when you need a can Cream of WHATEVER soup.  It's quick & easy to make yourself!  And without those questionable ingredients in the canned stuff.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Leftover shredded chicken optional

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl mix 4 Tablespoons flour, salt, pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon celery seed. In a saucepan over medium heat, add flour mixture & slowly stir in 2 1/4 cups chicken broth and 1/4 cups milk. Simmer over medium heat until thick. You can add leftover shredded chicken if desired for a meatier soup. Remove from heat and use in the place of a can of Cream-Of-Chicken soup in your recipe!
