RancherMan & I were talking one morning this week as we enjoyed our coffee. He remarked “How wonderful is it that we’re HERE?? That we don’t have to use the alarm clock to wake us with a startle each morning, that we don’t deal with traffic an unreasonable boss or angry co-workers??”
I must admit I feel the same. Our lives out here are magical. But as we started recounting how it’s indeed possible for us to live in this magical place, one thing came up again and again. Finances. We have to be careful with them. We’ve traded a systematic paycheck for one that comes when it comes. But we’ve also traded the corporate world to live HERE! Finding places to save comes naturally to us now. Come see 5 Frugal Things we did this week to save a little cash.
Living here has taught me to make the most of what we already have. It’s really very easy when you learn to do little things each day to save a few bucks. It’s rarely the big grandiose things that make the most financial difference, but the small daily tasks repeated over & over.
So I’ll share with you 5 frugal things we did this week to save money. It has a nice little side benefit of almost always being gentler on the environment too!
Money’s tight for many – us included! In our day-to-day activities RancherMan & I are always looking for ways to do what we do without spending unnecessary money. I’ve always been pleasantly surprised at how easy it is. But it’s true, you do have to keep your eyes open to be aware of options. But once you get into that mindset it’s quite natural to do things in a way that makes the best use of the cash you have available to you.
I thought it would be fun to share 5 Frugal Things we did this week that shaved a little cash off our budget.
As anyone who is self-employed can attest, being self employed requires a special money-management mindset. Since leaving the corporate workplace, our work hours are longer and our pay is substantially smaller and not near as systematic. Make no mistake, money is tight at the Taylor Homestead! But there’s no place I’d rather be and the benefits FAR outweigh any financial drawbacks.
Plus it’s easy to make adjustments. We just look for tiny ways to save throughout our typical week. Maybe you’re looking for easy, painless ways to save a few bucks too? As an added bonus, many times those money-saving measures are good for the environment too. Come see 5 frugal things we did this week to save money.
We all wanna be gentle on the earth, right? I mean c’mon, none of us open our sleepy eyes, stretch & yawn and stumble to the kitchen to sip our coffee while quietly contemplating how to single-handedly destroy the earth! But sometimes the big picture is just so… BIG. “What could I possibly do to make a difference?” you might wonder. Or you may have no idea just where to start.
Well let me tell you, it’s easy to start right where you are! Remember it’s the many little things you do every day that come together to make something big. And here’s a very pleasant surprise – it often saves you a little cold, hard cash too! Take my week for instance, here are 5 easy things I’ve done this week to save some money and the environment too!
RancherMan & I live & work right here in our very own NE Texas paradise. Now it’s true that without a corporate-employment salary infusion, money’s tight for us. Every now & then I like to share 5 simple frugal things we did over the week that helps us to save money. Come see a few easy ways we’ve been able to shave a few bucks here & there. Saving money where you can comes together to make a great overall impact!
RancherMan & I are self employed. As any self-employed person knows, the toils are more meaningful but c’mon it’s true – the time requirement is much higher & the income is much less. We’re both very frugal minded though, and that helps bunches. We’re mindful of ways to save money (and even more importantly ways not to waste money).
Having this mindset allows us to live & work right here living a life that speaks to our hearts because our income requirement stays low. It’s just a state of mind, y’all! Come see 5 Frugal Things we did this week to save money.
