Quick & Easy Creamy Hatch Chile Sauce

It’s hatch chile season, y’all! I want to put all those delightfully-roasted hatch to good use. So I decided to make a creamy hatch chile sauce with some of them.

It was simple, really. I only used hatch chiles, greek yogurt, garlic and olive oil. RancherMan is still raving! I’d say that was a success!

Quick Garlic Herb Sauce Using Fresh Herbs

I enjoy making a quick Garlic/Herb sauce using fresh herbs & garlic blended with olive oil and white wine vinegar. The result is a fresh, crisp flavor to add punch to any number of dishes.

I’ve used it as a topping for enchiladas and other Tex-Mex meals. I’ve also used it atop homemade Ravioli. Come see how easy it is to make!

Pear Relish Recipe – Sweet & Savory Come Together Beautifully!

I’ve heard that pear relish is delicious but… I dunno. I mean sweet pears coupled with savory onions & bell peppers? And jalapenos? And MUSTARD? Blech!

But this pear relish is surprisingly delicious. So much so that I’ve now made and canned this recipe several times. Check it out.

Preserving The Harvest: Making Tomato Sauce

My garden isn’t producing heavily yet, but I came across a great deal recently on a large quantity of beautiful fresh tomatoes. So decided I would make them into homemade tomato sauce.

Tomato sauce is an ingredient I use quite a bit in my kitchen. And making these fresh tomatoes into tomato sauce was EASY!

Using Dehydrated Apples In Homemade Granola

During apple season you can pick up a bag of apples for CHEAP. But when you have more than you can use, you have to figure out a way to preserve them.

One of the ways I like to preserve them so none go to waste is to dehydrate them and use them like apple ‘raisins‘ in my homemade granola.

After finding a great deal on apples I dehydrated them into soft chewy chunks. Good for me, good for my wallet & good for the environment! #TexasHomesteader
